Challenge #322

Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through September 30. This time it is an Inspired By challenge. We are looking for projects that feature:
Seasonal Colors Where You Live

We are a global Challenge. In general, it is (almost) Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, and Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. In the US, weather is still summery in many places, though pumpkin season is already in play. Our challenge to you is to incorporate the colors of the season where YOU live into your project.  Please explain in your post why you chose the colors you did.

Gina K is our wonderful spoansor, generously offering a $25.00 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

We are joined by Donna Phelan of Crafting By The Beach, and winner of Time Out #317 as Guest Designer. Donna is a talented maker and a frequent player at Time Out. Take a stroll through her BLOG and be inspired. You will be so glad you did.

Here is what Donna has to say about her crafting journey:

"Hi, Donna Phelan here from Olde Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I started card making way back in 2007, when one late night I actually happened upon Gina K making cards on a video. And as they say, the rest is history!  I have come a long way since that night, thankfully....my card making has evolved--into nothing particular so I have always considered myself 'eclectic' in the card making world.  I do love layers and seeing just how much I can put on a card base. lol  I'm an avid gardener and have done so many other crafts, but my love is in card making (and a little scrapbooking on the side).  Make em and send em....JOY all over!"

This is Donna's wonderful Challenge Card. Check out all the details HERE

Challenge #314

Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through June 10. This time it is an "Inspired By" challenge where are to be inspired to create a project... Inspired by A Favourite Beverage. This is a fun one with many possibilities. Think coffee, tea, chocolate milk, hot chocolate, champagne, cocktail, mocktail, water... the list goes on and on. If you don't have a particular favorite, choose any beverage you wish. As long as you can drink it, it belongs here. If it is not obvious, please be sure to let us know what beverage you chose to inspire your project in your post.

Challenge #314

We are sponsored by our own Design Team Member, Carol McFarland. Carol has donated this very fun beverage bag that she made by hand as the prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also be invited to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge

We are joined by Joanne James of The Crafty Owl, and winner of Time Out #309 as Guest Designer.  Joanne is a very talented crafter and a frequent player at Time Out. We are very excited to have her with us as Guest Designer for this challenge.

Here is a little bit about Joanne and her crafting journey in her own words:

"Hi, I'm Joanne James also known by my blog alter ego, The Crafty Owl. I live in Northampton in the UK. I love chocolate, running, traveling and all things Disney (not necessarily in that order!). Whilst I've always been creative enjoying drawing, calligraphy and cross stitch since I was young, I discovered rubber stamping and card making about 15 years ago and haven't looked back. I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator as a means to fund my new hobby and share my passion and creativity with others. I've run many classes, retreats and events over the years and now I craft for my own enjoyment and pleasure. I am thrilled to have been asked to guest with the talented team at Time Out for this challenge - thank you!"

This is Joanne's wonderful Challenge Card. Love the gold detail on her tea cup and the way the die cut flowers match the patterned paper. What a great card for a tea lover! You can check out all the details HERE.

Challenge #310

We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through April 15. This time it is an Inspired By challenge challenge and our inspiration is: Sweet Treats.

We are looking for projects that incorporate "Sweet treats": sugary, indulgent foods enjoyed as desserts, snacks, or rewards, offering instant enjoyment and energy boosts. Ranging from cakes and chocolates to candies and ice cream to sweet baby kisses, these items are often characterized by rich flavors, appealing textures, and their ability to provide comfort or celebrate special moments! Let your imagination run wild and come play with us!

Our wonderful sponsor,  Lawn Fawn, is generously offering a $25.00 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

We are joined by Dawn Turley of Dawn's World, and winner of Time Out #305 as Guest Designer. Here are some words from Dawn about her crafting journey:

"Hello, my name is Dawn. I live in Auckland, New Zealand, together with my very patient husband. Our family includes two adult children and four wonderful grandchildren. Since early-2008, I have been passionate about card making, and my enthusiasm for it remains as strong as it was when I first began. Crafting has always been a significant part of my life; I have enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making Teddy Bears, among other creative activities. I enjoy experimenting with a wide variety of card making and paper crafting techniques and styles. Challenging myself to try them all is something I truly love.
It is a privilege to be a guest for this challenge, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have."

This is Dawn's wonderful Challenge Card. Check out all the details HERE.
