Challenge #311
Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.
We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through April 29. This time it is a Pick Two challenge. The idea of this challenge is very simple: pick two (or more) words from the 6 words provided and use them in your project in some way.
The words that you are picking from this time are:
Earth, Rain, Pastel, Hope, Tree, Bloom
Challenge #311
We are generously sponsored by STAMPlorations with an offer of a $25 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner. In addition, the winner will receive an invitation to join us as a Guest Designer for a future challenge.
We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Shery Russ of STAMPlorations back as our sponsor. After facing a life-changing health ordeal, Shery has reopened her business following nearly four years away. Her strength and creativity continue to inspire us all.
We encourage you to read Shery’s story and explore the STAMPlorations store, where you’ll find a fantastic range of both classic and new products. Monthly challenges started in January and right now, Shery is running a Spring Cleaning Sale—definitely worth checking out for some amazing deals! Her new lines of paper goods are especially impressive, and you can see some of them and other STAMPloration products featured in our Design Team projects below.
"Hi, my name is Karen Walker. I’m a retired elementary and special education teacher living in Western New York. My husband and I are the proud parents of two adult children and five grandchildren. I started stamping and card making over 30 years ago when a fellow teacher showed me how to stamp and emboss. I was immediately captivated and have never lost my passion for making and sending cards. I’m so honored to be the Guest Designer for this challenge. "

Challenge #310
We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through April 15. This time it is an Inspired By challenge challenge and our inspiration is: Sweet Treats.
We are looking for projects that incorporate "Sweet treats": sugary, indulgent foods enjoyed as desserts, snacks, or rewards, offering instant enjoyment and energy boosts. Ranging from cakes and chocolates to candies and ice cream to sweet baby kisses, these items are often characterized by rich flavors, appealing textures, and their ability to provide comfort or celebrate special moments! Let your imagination run wild and come play with us!

Challenge #309
Think sequins, enamel dots, gemstones, stickers, and nylon thread, to name a few. Also, clear elements like acetate sheets or window plastic can be used on handmade cards to create shaker windows, floating elements, interactive overlays, or full transparent card bases. They add dimension and a modern feel, perfect for highlighting stamped, embossed, or die-cut designs behind a glossy surface. YouTube has many videos on how to use acetate on cards. Here's a wonderful one by Jennifer McGuire in case you are interested: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/52424783146996336/
