Challenge 244 - Monochromatic

Hello friends of Time Out!

We are here with a fun new challenge:

Monochromatic

This means using only shades of one color with a possible addition of touch of neutrals (white, black, grey, brown). You could for example use all blues on a white card base... But stamp your sentiment on black on white card. We also allow a touch of metallics so heat embossing with a metallic powder/adding metallic gems will work too. The DT samples will surely guide you to the right direction!

Varada Sharma is back sponsoring us with TWO $15 gift certificates! This means one voucher will go to a randomly drawn winner and one will go to an overall winner, voted by the design team. Thank you Varada Sharma for being such a generous sponsor!

We welcome Stephanie Serrano of Stephanie's Stampin' Spot and most frequently on Instagram at @22Stepanieserrano as our guest designer. Stephanie was the winner of Time Out Challenge #241. We are thrilled to have her designing with us. Stephanie has an eclectic style with a great eye for design and color and often displays a great sense of humor.

Here is a little bit about Stephanie in her own words:

"My name is Stephanie and I live in Georgia with my hubby of 40 years.  I have 2 daughters and 6 Grandkids.   I have been crafting for a little over 18 years. I love creating cards for people, I love making fun/funny cards and using florals.  I have a little side business which helps fund my habit! 😊  Besides crafting cards I love to bake, do jigsaw puzzles and photograph all things in nature."

Stephanie has created 2 fabulous cards for our challenge!

Challenge 242 - Inspired By Words

Hello, dear friends of Time Out!

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out! For the next fortnight we challenge you to be Inspired by these words: "If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." ~ Albert Einstein.

This is a fun one for letting our imaginations run wild! Your project can be inspired by a specific fairy tale like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Little Red Riding Hood, Frog Prince, etc. It can be inspired by definition like something mythical or magical with imaginary beings. It can be something resembling a fairy tale - something magical or used as an adjective for extremely happy like a

"fairy tale romance". It can be something from the sweet memory lane of your childhood. The memories of magic, dragons, and evilness getting defeated never fail to bring a smile to our faces.

We can't wait to see how these words inspire you. If it's not obvious, please remember to tell us in your post, how you were inspired by our challenge. In addition, please include our challenge badge below in your post and link directly to your post for our our challenge, not to your whole blog.

We are generously sponsored by AALL & Create with a $20 Store Credit for the winner, and an offer to Guest Design with The Time Out Design Team for a future challenge.

We welcome Kim Heggins of Cupcakes, Cards and Kim as our Guest Designer. Kim is a former member of the Time Out Design Team, and we are thrilled to have her designing with us for this challenge. In addition to card making, Kim is a talented seamstress who makes quality handmade bags bags using fabulous fabrics. You can find her work at RunningStitchDesign. Kim is sponsoring  Time Out Challenge #251 that goes live on November 9th. Be sure to come back and play for a chance to win one of Kim's wonderful bags.

This is what Kim has to say about her crafting Journey:

"I am a retired preschool teacher and live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been crafty since I was very young. I started scrapbooking  when my daughter was 4 and eventually that turned into card making but I do still love to scrapbook. Now that I am retired I have been traveling a bit and love getting back in it and using my supplies for both card making and scrapbooking."

THIS is Kim's's wonderful card:

Isn't it fabulous and absolutely perfect for our challenge??? Thank you, Kim!

Now for some inspiration from our design team!
