Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.
We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through February 26. This time it is a Photo challenge. It is an extra special Photo Challenge because the photo inspiration is a handmade bag by Kim Heggins. Kim is a former Time Out DT Member and owner of Running Stitch Design, Kim's ETSY Store from which she sells her marvelous handmade bags. For this special yearly challenge, Kim's handmade bag is both the inspiration AND the prize. Thank you, Kim for generously sponsoring us once again. It's so much fun and we look forward to seeing the fabrics you choose each year!
How does Kim's bag inspire you? Is it the colors? Snowflakes? Hearts? Shape? If it is not obvious how you were inspired in your project, please explain it in your post. Use your imagination, and have fun!
"From the age of two I have always had an instrument of art in my hand. It started with crayons and never stopped. I was signed up to art school after graduation from nursing school but met my hubby and that led me down a different path. I have been rubber stamping for over 45 years.
Back then I was only able to find stamps and ink pads in the local drug store. I had my youngest, born with Down’s Syndrome, and stayed home where I began teaching online. After my boys were in school I started working in craft and stamp stores, sadly all now closed. I have been teaching card crafting as well as other crafts for 12 years in the library system. I love to share my 'talents' that God gave me with others."
