Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.
We have a new challenge for you that opens today and runs through April 23. This time it is a Pick Two challenge! The idea of this challenge is very simple: we give you 6 word prompts and you pick at least 2 for your project! To be clear, you can pick all 6 if you really want to stretch yourself but you only must choose at least 2!
The words for Challenge #286 are:
Stencil, Floral, Spots, Arch, Water, Pastel
Some words may have more than one meaning; for example 'Water' may inspire you to pull out your water colours you may be inspired to add a water theme (for eg under the sea)! In your post, please mention which words you have chosen and how they inspired you!

"Hello, I’m Fran Wing and I’m delighted to be acting as Guest Designer these next two weeks! Like most of you I’ve been doing some sort of craft or art since I can remember. As a small child I drew and colored constantly, and was introduced to knitting, sewing, and embroidery by my mother and both grandmothers. It’s been years since I knitted or embroidered, although I do occasionally still get out my sewing machine. But my REAL love is card making and paper crafts. I believe that the stamping part of card making was an outgrowth of college years spent specializing in printmaking – serigraphy, etching, woodblocks, etc. And then there’s that mania for collecting papers! Card making started in earnest about 25 years ago and it hasn’t let up since. I really enjoy the sharing of ideas through design challenges and love that the paper crafting blogosphere is international. My personal “style” tends toward CAS, but I enjoy pushing the limits with minimal glitz and embellishments. Have a great day! Fran"
