Challenge 241 - Funny

Hello, dear friends of Time Out!

We are back with another fun challenge for you. For the next fortnight we challenge you to be FUNNY. That leaves the game wide open to interpretation from amusing, to hilarious, to punny, to whimsical! We can't wait to see what aspect of "funny" inspires you the most! If it's not obvious, please remember to tell us in your post, how you were inspired by our challenge. In addition, please include our challenge badge below in your post.

"My love of scrapbooking morphed into card making about 12 years ago and I’ve never looked back - I really must change the name of my blog! I have a very clean style, alternating between clean and simple or clean and layered depending on the challenge. It’s a rare day to see an ink splatter on my cards!

My favourite technique is colouring with Copics - I find it very therapeutic to colour…even more so with a glass of wine…."

Challenge 240 - "Sportive"

We extend a warm welcome to Carol McFarland of Saw it. Had to Make It. as our Guest Designer. Carol is a super talented crafter with a clean, crisp colorful style. Treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for some awesome inspiration! You will be so glad you did!

We asked Carol to tell us about her crafting journey, and here is what she had to say:

"I started stamping eons ago with “Excellent” and “Good Work” stamps when I began my teaching career. Soon after that, a friend at school taught me how to heat emboss over a toaster (LOL - pre-heat gun era) and how to mask images. I'm currently a fan of ink blending/watercoloring on white cardstock before die cutting because I really love the look over plain cardstock. I love to figure out how a card or 3D item I see is made and have to give it a try, whether it is a different fold or has moving parts. Recently I realized that my go-to card style has become predominantly die cuts on cards with a stamped sentiment rather than mostly stamping. Doing paper crafts in my office/craft room while listening to music is a true creative escape. I also like to enter challenges to stretch my skills and stash. The friends I have made over the years via this hobby is the best part of it all!"
