Hello Friends of Time Out, welcome back!
If you are a newcomer to Time Out, we extend a warm welcome to you! In either case, we are so glad you are here.
For the next fortnight we have a theme challenge for you and it is
Alphabet Magnet Day
Although traditionally, we might think of magnetic letters as a children’s toy, the first known magnetic letters were actually created for the space industry. Click HERE for a bit of history behind the magnetic letters that have been decorating the faces of refrigerators for 50 years.
For this challenge you can for example use letter dies, large word dies, patterned paper with writing as focal point, embossing folders with letters or large words... many possibilities!
If your interpretation is less obvious, we kindly ask you to let us know how you were inspired. Thank you!
Our wonderful sponsor is Altenew. They're generously offering a $15 gift card to our winner, chosen by our DT!
We are joined by Carol McFarland of Saw it. Had to Make it., and winner of Time Out #259 as Guest Designer. Carol is a frequent player here at Time Out. Her work is so creative and fun, and it is always a joy to see how she interprets challenges. Do treat yourself to a stroll through her blog for some wonderful inspiration!
Here is a little bit about Carol in her own words:
"I’m a happily retired high school Spanish teacher. I like to stamp, sew, cross stitch, play word games, cook and bake. My current favorite card making techniques are die cutting and making cards that move in some way: shakers, pop-ups and fun folds. I am so excited to join the TO design team this month for two challenges!"
Carol created two cards for our challenge. Click HERE to view them on her blog and get all the deets.
And now for some inspiration from our design team!

Fabulous work from everyone, I'm sure you agree! Now it's your turn to Take Time Out and craft! This challenge runs until 5 PM GMT on Wed 22nd of May. Before linking up below, kindly check out How to Play from the sidebar. Happy crafting!
Do note that at Time Out we only allow five challenges combined, one of them being ours. Thank you!
