Challenge #275 - Theme Challenge

Hello friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a sweet, delicious and fun challenge for you with a theme of Baking/Sweet Treats that opens today and runs through November 6th. Think cookies, chocolates, pumpkin pies, scones, Lamingtons,  Bienenstich Kuchen, Piparkakku, Gulab jamun, Mattentaart, Butter Tarts, ice cream... the list goes on ad infinitum!

"My love of all things inky has only grown stronger over the last 15 years - I really get quite grumpy if I haven’t had a bit of craft time for a few days! I’ve got a clean and simple style and enjoy colouring with Copics but I've branched out recently to include some mixed media which I’m really enjoying."

Challenge #274 - Photo Inspiration

Hello friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a new, super fun challenge for you that opens today and runs through October 23rd. This time it is a photo inspiration challenge but you can also use it as a coffee themed challenge. The photo was taken by our Blog Owner, Nonni Niskanen, when she visited New York City in 2023. The sign was outside a coffee shop and we thought it was really funny, and the second thought was that it would be a great photo inspiration challenge at Time Out. So here we are.

Challenge #274

This enlargement will help you to see some detail:

You could creat something coffee themed. You could also be inspired by some elements in the photo AND coffee. There are details in the photo that may inspire you like the easel, blackboard, cityscape. street, sidewalk, outdoor dining... and do you see the safety come in the background on the right?? Let your imagination guide you. Our Guest Designer and Design Team had some brilliant inspiration to share. Check out their projects below.

Heidi tells us a bit about herself and her crafting journey:

"Hello lovelies, my name is Heidi and I live in a small town near Bremen in Germany. Since my childhood I have been creative and have done a lot of handicrafts and painting...in my youth I knitted and crocheted a lot...at some point I also started with Hardanger...I started designing cards in 2006 and stamping in 2010. I love designing cards or small sets with a card and gift wrap, preferably personalised for the recipient, with the date of the occasion and the recipient's name. It can be both cute and non-cute cards... The design is the first fun and the second is the smile and joy of the recipient."
