Challenge #325

Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through November 11. This time it is a Theme challenge:

Friendship, support, encouragement.

In earlier years of our challenge, we had a Breast Cancer Support theme for one of our October challenges, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As time went on, we wanted to expand it to include support for any struggle that our friends and other loved ones are going through and how handmade kindness can be such a powerful aid to anyone going through a tough time for any reason. We continue that theme with this challenge.

Our wonderful sponsor, Birch Press Designs, is generously offering a $20.00 store credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner, who will also get an invitation to join us as Guest Designer for a future challenge.

We are joined by Rita Wright of Cards By Rita (blog) and cardsbyrita (Instagram), and winner of 

Time Out #320 as Guest Designer.

Here is a little bit about Rita and her crafting journey in her own words:

"Howdy from Texas! I'm Rita and I love crafting, but I am not always a consistent crafter. There's a lot of gaps in my journey, but I keep coming back thanks to great challenges like this one. I became interested in paper crafts when I wanted to make a scrapbook of my wedding way back in 2004. That led to card making and now I have a lot of 12x12 paper that I have to chop up because I don't scrapbook anymore. Oops! I homeschool my daughter who is on the autism spectrum, so crafting gives me a break from that. I love FaceTiming with friends to stamp and chat. I'm also a master naturalist and put in a lot of volunteer hours at local parks and schools. I am a bug nerd and am always on the lookout for cool stamps with bugs. Be sure to look for the cute bitty bug on my card for this challenge. "
