Challenge #287

   Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back! If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through May 7. It's a Photo Inspiration challenge with two stunningly dressed street artists in front of a booth with handmade cards at a fair in Luxembourg. 

The booth in the photo belonged to our DT member Kate so all the cards you see there are made by her... And her friend snapped this fun photo when the street artists where in front of Kate's booth. This year many of our photo challenges have a personal connection to our DT members and we are very excited about it!

There are plenty of elements in the photo you could be inspired by like the flowers, the masks or the costumes, that stunning jade green colour of the costumes... Or even the handmade cards or the booth! 

Very fun, right? We look forward seeing what you'll come up with!

Hello, friends of Time Out. Welcome back!  If you are a newcomer to Time Out Challenges, we extend a very warm welcome to you. We're glad you are here.

We have a new challenge for you that opens today and runs through April 23. This time it is a Pick Two challenge!  The idea of this challenge is very simple: we give you 6 word prompts and you pick at least 2 for your project!  To be clear, you can pick all 6 if you really want to stretch yourself but you only must choose at least 2!

The words for Challenge #286 are:

Stencil, Floral, Spots, Arch, Water, Pastel

Some words may have more than one meaning; for example 'Water' may inspire you to pull out your water colours you may be inspired to add a water theme (for eg under the sea)!  In your post, please mention which words you have chosen and how they inspired you!

"Hello, I’m Fran Wing and I’m delighted to be acting as Guest Designer these next two weeks! Like most of you I’ve been doing some sort of craft or art since I can remember. As a small child I drew and colored constantly, and was introduced to knitting, sewing, and embroidery by my mother and both grandmothers. It’s been years since I knitted or embroidered, although I do occasionally still get out my sewing machine. But my REAL love is card making and paper crafts. I believe that the stamping part of card making was an outgrowth of college years spent specializing in printmaking – serigraphy, etching, woodblocks, etc. And then there’s that mania for collecting papers! Card making started in earnest about 25 years ago and it hasn’t let up since. I really enjoy the sharing of ideas through design challenges and love that the paper crafting blogosphere is international. My personal “style” tends toward CAS, but I enjoy pushing the limits with minimal glitz and embellishments. Have a great day! Fran"

Challenge #285 - Inspired By Your Favorite Movie

We have a new challenge that opens today and runs through April 9th. This time it is an 'Inspired By" Challenge where we are asking you to create a card that is inspired by Your Favorite Movie. Please include the name of the movie by which your project was inspired in your post.
