Challenge #158

Hi All

Our challenge today is a special challenge....to see why you can read further down.

But let's see what it is first:

We want to see a card that has lots or just a touch of purple on it.

And we have included our optional twist of 'Friendship'

If you take up our twist then you have chance of winning a prize of $25 from our super sponsor CAS-ual Fridays-we will do a random drawer for this prize from all our twisters!

The winner of the DT votes will get the chance to be our Guest Designer in a future challenge!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the very talented Kavya. Her cards are outstanding. If you haven't seen her blog then pop on over to Handmade by Kavya and we are sure you will come back a fan! We are delighted you are joining us Kavya x

Why a Special Challenge?

Today is Epilepsy Awareness day and we want to help raise awareness of this condition.

Purple is the colour for Epilepsy and a purple ribbon represents Epilepsy.

Epilepsy is a complicated condition that is often misunderstood. Many see seizures in the media as convulsive seizures but there are many types of seizures-many are silent and you wouldn't even know they were happening!

Rather than us explain Epilepsy in detail to you-take a look at this link to find out more.

Also Sandie, our team leader, has epilepsy and she tells you her experience of living with this condition here-so visit her blog if you want to know more.

Plus there is a hop going on to raise awareness of Epilepsy with some super Guest Designer and some prizes along the way. Friketa is organising this-pop on over and hop along!

We chose 'friendship' as our 'optional twist' as we thought it would be nice to send a purple card to a friend to make them smile-especially now in this challenging time for us all. Goodness we all need love and care now and as a crafting community it would be great for us all to send a card to a friend-just this small gesture would help us all get through this time and we will!

Now lets see what inspiration Kavya and the Design Team have for you:

  2. I didn't realize a purple ribbon represented Epilepsy. They have come so far with medication to combat this over the years. Purple is my favorite color. The DT and guest designer cards are wonderful. Glad I can play again after all that celebrating with #157!
