Challenge #32

Welcome back to TIME OUT Challenges,

This week is our:

CASE with your own twist.

This means we showcase a designer's card for you. All you need to do is make your own card inspired by our designer's card adding your won twist.

This week we are CASEing the very creative Deepti. I am sure most of you have visited her blog Dee's Art Utopia and know how talented she is. If not take a peek here and I guarantee you will be inspired!

Time to hear from Deepti:

I am a sketch artist by default and a card maker by choice. My card making started with making some new year cards back in 2013 and now it has turned into a passion.
I am excited to tell you that I have moved a step ahead, now I am an Illustrator with my own line of stamps. Thanks to Shery for offering me to design under the umbrella of STAMPlorations :)
My stamp line "Dee's Artsy Impressions" was recently introduced with my very first set Blooming buds which will be available to buy beginning. It is also one of the stamp sets that you can pick if you sign up for the
STAMPlorations Stamp club in June. I am so pleased that I was asked to be the CASE designer at TIME OUT and hope you enjoy CASEing my card-have fun!

Deepti has very kindly offered to sponsor this challenge so you could very soon own her new stamp set-details at the bottom of this post

Here is Deepti's card to CASE:

There is so much here to inspire-black card stock, white embossing, flowers, texture, patterned paper-what inspires you??

Our Guest Designer this week is Maura

She is super creative and we are so pleased she is joining us. Take a look at her Splitcoast stampers Gallery here.

Lets see how Maura and our DT were inspired by Deepti's card:

Congratulations and we have a badge for you:

Our challenge at the moment is:

Grunge with the optional twist of embossing

Not sure what grunge is?

Grunge is characterised by distressed, worn-out elements and the use of subtle
or earthy colours. Think torn edges, textured backgrounds, 'dirty' appearance, splatters, stains, even hand-drawn lines. That said, grunge doesn't always mean
"dirty" or subdued colours. A card can have subtle grunge elements in light or soft ink
and yet still look clean and simple. Just think of grunge as the
opposite of "polished".

This week we are very lucky that STAMPlorations are sponsoring us-you could win $10 gift voucher for twisting with us (using embossing) or $10 gift voucher if you win.

Our Guest Designer, Ksenija, is joining us again this week. If you didn't get chance to visit her blog, Sweet Kobylkin, pop over there and you will come away full of surprises!

Ksenija and the DT are here with a few cards to inspire you to join us:

How about we all take some TIME OUT and craft-sound like a good idea??

Challenge #31

Hello All,

It is time for our 'Theme' challenge here at TIME OUT and the theme for the next 2 weeks is:

Grunge with the optional twist of Embossing

You can use any kind of embossing that you want.

What does 'Grunge' mean for us papercrafters??

Grunge is characterized by distressed, worn-out elements and the use of subtle
or earthy colours.

We are very excited that our sponsors this week are STAMPlorations-owned by DT member Shery

We have 2 ways that you could win a $10 gift voucher to spend in the amazing STAMPlorations store:

-the DT will choose a winner and that winner will get a $10 gift voucher
-we will do a random draw from all those who twist with us by adding embossing to their project. This twister will also get a $10 gift voucher.

This week our Guest Designer is Ksenija.

Her blog Sweet kobylkin is a joy to visit, full of inspiring and creative projects. Take some time out and have a look around here
